Iron Bowl of Basketball : ウィキペディア英語版 | Iron Bowl of Basketball
The Iron Bowl of Basketball is a basketball rivalry game between the Auburn University Tigers and the University of Alabama Crimson Tide. Both teams play in the shadow of their prestigious football programs and though both teams have been far less successful in basketball than their football counterparts, the basketball edition of the Iron Bowl is still a fierce rivalry well known throughout the South. The name of this rivalry draws its name from their football rivalry, the Iron Bowl. The rivalry is known for being very streaky with both schools tending to win several in-a-row before trading that trend to the other. Though most matchups involve neither team ranked, there have been a few notables games in which one or both schools have been ranked facing each other. Alabama leads the all-time series 93-58. ==Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Award== The trophy given to the winner of the football game is the Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Award. It is named after James E. Foy, an Alabama graduate and former Auburn dean of students and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society – which was established on both campuses during the 1920s. The Foy Trophy is presented at halftime of the Auburn–Alabama basketball game later in the same academic year at the winner's coliseum. After the trophy presentation, the SGA President of the losing school must recite his or her adversary's fight song.
